Self-care: taking care of yourself. Sounds so simple, not so easy… especially for us Women.

I went to this morning’s Prenatal Yoga class with a racing mind and very anxious body. It took me a while to allow myself to let go and surrender to the class’ flow: to the point that it was hard for me to keep my eyes closed during the “grounding” welcome…

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And then I had an “aha” moment where everything clicked and I tuned into my heart, my connection to my breath… I felt a wave of deep gratitude for taking the time and presence to take care of myself.

Following Uma Mother‘s soothing voice, I enjoyed all the amazing benefits of a fabulous yoga practice, surrounded by the beautiful energy of my fellow pregnant yoginis… and experienced pure BLISS.

I then went off to work with a huge smile and an open heart… followed by a great, joyful afternoon with my kids. Happy mama = happy kids!
